Its starting to look like I will be on a rather (annoyingly long) 7 month (or more) deployment starting sometime in early July.

RIMPAC also kills off any chance of going to AC, though I'm sure wxkat doesn't mind me being in the area again =P.

So I finally get a local con (RainFurrest), and I'm going to miss it.  Blah.  That also means I'm going to miss

Well, I did literally go balls to the wall with cons last year with the thought that this might end up being the situation.

MFF is just a con, and to be honest... I'm caring less and less about cons as I go. I am interested in so little of what goes on at most of them it is almost a waste of time. The only reason I always hit up MFF is because I spend Thanksgiving with my mother on that same trip. To be completely honest, something small like "JacekCon" is time and money better spent anyways. The hotel and food tab alone from most cons is $$.

I'm probably going to go into money hoarding mode soon anyways. My pay came down drastically coming over here. Albeit I wont be making $800+ round trip flights anymore... its still a lot of money to travel.

I was totally looking forward to having a local con too. I'm going to look up some of the local furs before I go out... I just need to get crap here in order first.

If the Olympics had postponed just a few more months, maybe I could have visited you up there XD.

They had enough trouble getting snow for the Winter Olympics in February. I don't imagine there would be any left by now. :P

Go tour the Boeing factory there in Everett, it's awesome! Even better, do it in fursuit. ;)

The only one I am fronting is MFF this year... next year looks hit or miss depending on a multitude of things~ :c

One would hope I'll be around again sometime before or shortly after this deployment. Its much easier to plan a visit to one person rather than a con.
