Last night's Mad Men? WAS FABULOUS. And it's no surprise that it was a fairly Joan-heavy episode, too.

But my favorite part of the entire episode had to have been the scene between her and Don. How has it taken me this long to notice the mad chemistry between the two? THESE TWO COULD RULE THE WORLD IF THEY JOINED FORCES ( Read more... )

I remember noticing the dress, but it wasn't until I put this together that I noticed the few other colors are very muted or just plain grey. She's Joan, she's supposed to stand out.

Seriously! I don't think it would be at all plausible for them to get together romantically, but the chemistry is enough for me. I mean, there's a palpable level of respect between the two of them, and they're both the kind of people that don't hand that out like it's candy, you know? In another time, where Joan's natural awesomeness would be less confined, they would make excellent partners in the WORLD DOMINANCE business.

Don's face is so cute. He almost looks like he's blushing. She sort of gave him a motherly touch.

Thanks for this!

Isn't it? And I agree. These two have a unique kind of chemistry, where romanticism isn't even necessary. They just need to be in the same breathing room as each other, thinking up new ways to kick ass and take names, and I am good.

Beautiful. That whole show is so beautiful, every scene, but this especially. The drab surroundings, the grey-clad Don, and then Joan, vibrant and vivacious, bloodstained, watching as her life falls out from under her and all she can do is sit and laugh.

Beautiful. &hearts

Yeah, the whole, "I'm sure he woke up feeling great" obviously wasn't just about the footless Brit. Just 24 hours prior, she was ready to start a new, glamorous life with her Chief Resident husband now...here she is, covered in blood, jobless and facing potential poverty (or what she considers poverty). Blah.

This may have been my favorite scene in the episode, and I love how Joan just pops out from the grey in these pictures. Thanks for this!

The green dress was fabulous, even with blood all over it, haha.
