Elitism

I've often been accused of being an elitist. These accusations used to sting, and sometimes they still do. But I've decided to embrace my elitism. After all, it's not based on anything arbitrary like race, money, or even years of formal education. Rock. I remember an RPI fraternity president being interviewed, and when questioned about the perceived elitism of the Greek system, he said "Elitist? I hope so."

Back in my day, the Greek system was more about class-based elitism of the sort that enabled George W. Bush to get admitted to Yale and later become president. I hope it's changed, because that sort of elitism I have no patience for. But if it's based on admitting the smartest and most ambitious people, I have no problem with that.
