Health Insurance

So, I've been researching health and dental insurance like crazy for about a month now. Since I'm no longer a student, I'm no longer covered by my parent's insurance. I realized a short while ago that I am in need of a dental visit (I'm 90% certain that I have a cavity) however, I can't afford to pay out of pocket since I'm only making about $6,000 ( Read more... )

My parents had group health for years, they treated me well as a child.

But I don't know anything about them including dental, I think that's seperate?

About group health (I'm on the basic plan through my mom's health plan.. but I nkow that she is covered by something else for dental so.. more possibility that group health DOESNT cover dental)
I like it because I can go get an appointment for ANything and I only have to pay ten dollars, and whatever prescription they give me is only 10 dollars.. unless it's one of those expensive name brands, which they try to avoid anyway. birth control, 10 dollars a month

I highly recommend Group Health for health insurance, but my mother, the GHC insurance guru, says that they do not, alas, offer dental. I agree with the KT though, and urge you to take a look at Delta Dental.
