I just found out that I have to work Christmas Eve. So much for my plans . . . I hate this job.

Yeah . . . I think they might be suspicious of a sick call on Christmas Eve.
At this point it looks like I'm going to bring the laptop with me and log in from wherever I am. There shouldn't be actual work to do, I just need to put in the hours . . . which I think is worse than if there were work :(

will there be net access at your aunt's?
if not, spend xmas eve with us :)

Funny you should mention that . . . it was Mom's first suggestion. Though I think she might also be trying to get rid of me, since she also suggested I show up the night before :)
I may very well take you up on your tempting offer, though I think there should be net access from Cindy's. Getting to hang out would be good.
