Oooh! cool! I love Sentinel/Guide stories and I seriously don't have a problem with it being a LONG one! The fun with this particular trope is that while the Sentinel role is well known and documented, the Guide one is much more open to interpretation. I can't wait to see where you take it. I was worried for a moment then when you suggested that someone else could be John's guide! Thank the Ancients that didn't happen!! Nice to see that Lorne got a promotion too!

Thank you so much for commenting (and it woke lj up enough to notify me so I could comment on 3 previous comments I didn't know about!) I think that's one reason I love The Sentinel. Its something that can fit in with almost any fandom and its open to interpretation enough that writers can put their own twist on it.

BTW - I admit to being a terrible commenter despite my best intentions - but might I ask - how goes The Bribe?

Sigh... The Bribe advances slowly. Since losing such a large chunk on my dead laptop, I have been largely unable to get the enthusiasm to write it. I have been working on a couple of other projects and I hope that those might kick-start The Bribe again. I can't leave it, so there will be more some day. I have sent an SGA version of Ali Baba to my Goddess for beta-ing, so we'll see. Thanks for replying and I would really love to see more of your Sentinel 'verse.
