Looks like I'm one and done.

Last season there were several (frustrated) posts regarding some "correct" Qualities of Correctness I had ruled upon, which favored Joe West, who was my primary umpire last year. As I'm not concerned with my own ability to be impartial and fair, for the sake of the appearance of full impartiality and the absence of (incorrectly) perceived bias, I think it is most wise to take myself of out the competition. This way, the popular "home team biased ref" argument can be put to bed in regards to the UEFL.

I think you should do it anyway. Who cares if someone thinks you are not being fair. I think the man in charge of starting something awesome should still get to play. Its not like this is for any money or anything.

I can allow you to change your secondary umpire, but you must choose a secondary umpire that has not yet been chosen. Timmons, Bellino, Drake (and Tichenor) have already been chosen. Please refer to the above list.

Because we have yet to see an ejection, I'll put you in. However, since this is a late sign up, you will be put at a slight disadvantage. Due to the fact that eight umpires have worked two games, whereas many others have only worked one, and a few more none, you have been assigned two umpires who have already worked two games, so that your umpire's chances to experience an ejection are slightly lower (due to the umpires having already worked more games than many others). Furthermore, since most umpire ejections occur while the umpire is working at home plate (e.g., in 2009, 129 of the season's 165 ejections were by home plate umpires), you will be assigned the only two MLB umpires who worked home plate this evening, and have already worked two regular season games this season.

You have been assigned:
Primary - Lance Barksdale (1B - 3/31, HP - 4/1, SF@LAD)
Secondary - Kerwin Danley (1B - 3/31, HP - 4/1, LAA@KC)

Lance Barksdale is from Mississippi, and I have always wondered if he is related to Confederate General William Barksdale, KIA at Gettysburg while leading the Mississppi Brigade to break the Union flank on the seond day of that great battle.
