Guarantee that'll never happen again in San Diego this season, or this decade even. As a Pads fan, was wishing Eddie Rap would have called the game when the rain was coming down in the top of the sixth, before the Dodgers had a chance to tie. Was watching Vin Scully (that's primarily why I like when the Dodgers come to town), and when the rain started in the top 6th, he kept mentioning how it's an official game and the Dodgers need to score quickly, the umpires can call it at any minute, the camera pans over to Rapuano, who's standing there shaking his head. Camera panned over to him again before they called the 4th delay at 1:25am, he was shaking his head even more and more.

Hey, at least we had more fans that stuck around at 1am than that one Nationals game last year.

The final rain delay can be seen at the 2:20 mark. The 4th delay did not immediately bring the suspension of play, which was made 18 minutes into the 4th delay.

I like what the umpires did by keeping Hickox at the plate, Rapuano at 1B, etc. Too often you see suspended/frag games where, while the crew is the same, you'll have a different HP ump during Part #1 as you do during Part #2. Kudos for Hickox working both games at HP. And then good job by rotating positions as expected for game 2 of the series (Hickox going to 3B, Rapuano taking HP, etc.).
