Sorry I've been so quiet recently. Been busy with the play and that new RP site. I'll catch up with that meme and do a proper post soon but first:
I wrote a Batman fanfic! It was fun so...expect your friends page to be spammed with them soon :P
Title: Winter
Universe: Comics
Rating: PG
Characters: Harley Quinn, Joker
Word Count: 516
A/N: The prompt was 'hyenas' :)
Summary: Not everyone likes winters in gotham
____
She hated winters in Gotham. She had never been able to get used to the way that blood looked splashed across the innocent white snow. She’d never get used to this damn cold, either. It would help if she was curled up in bed next to her man, but he’d thrown her out for the night.
Like that was new.
So here she was, shivering in their makeshift living room, tears staining her pretty cheeks. Her heart had been broken so many times she was surprised it was still beating.
That was a lie, she knew why it was still beating. It beat for Him. The way He would look at her sometimes, pride and affection etched in every line of his face. The way he’d put his arm around her as he explained a heist...these things made up for every punch, every insult, and every push out into the cold.
Something warm pressed against and she looked down, heart warming at the sight that met her eyes.
“Hi, babies! Did you know momma needed some lovin’?” Bud and Lou looked up at Harley, their brown eyes like pools of hot chocolate that she just wanted to bury herself in.
The hyenas hopped up onto the couch and wrapped themselves around her, warming her to the core.

He loved winters in Gotham. The stark red of blood against snow never ceased to make his heart warm. He loved the quiet, the sheer desperation that seeped from every corner of the city. He loved being alone in the winter, wrapping himself in the solitude that came with the world dying around him.
She would never understand. She was too needy, too incessantly whiny. That’s why he’d thrown her out. She’d cried, saying it was too cold and she was too tired to find a new place to sleep.
A swift kick to the backside had cured her of that argument.
He stared out of the window of their bedroom long after she had left. The batsignal glittered in the distance, casting an odd light across the snow covered ground. Joker briefly wondered what the Bat was up to this evening before his mind shifted back to Harley.
He could leave her out in the cold all night, but where was the fun in that? He was in the winter spirit and wanted to share it!
He padded quietly out into the living room. As he opened his mouth to wake her, one of those blasted animals lifted its head and growled at him. He had half a mind to rip it’s head off, but thought better of it. He had too many bite marks in his legs from them.
Shooting Harley a regretful look, he walked back into the bedroom and sank onto the bed, staring at the ceiling.
I’ll make her feel guilty in the morning about her leaving me in the cold all night. That sounds like an excellent plan… A smile on his lips, he fell asleep.
