When it actually happened, it was almost an anti-climax. Not that there was no climaxing to be done; most of the long night it was quite the opposite. But when the morning came and Elijah opened his eyes and smiled at Dom, there was nothing different. Oh this is just lovely! Especially nice to read after my ramble on giving up beginnings to be married... but this feeling that you describe is exactly why it is worth it.

It reminds me of a song too... When it all comes true just the way you planned, it's funny but the bells don't ring. It's a quiet thing.

This just hit the spot this morning. You write so beautifully. And now that this comment is quite possibly longer than the work itself, I'd like to encourage you to go post it at domlijah_shorts! :)
