After seeing zarla's post about making fish muffins I had to try it out. The things ended up looking not much unlike so many limpets fired out of the back of a VUX Intruder.
Actually, what works even better than an actual zester is one of those tiny microplane graters. It's so beautiful, the peel just turns into an oil filled powder that you don't have to further chop. Plus it's good for parmesan or chocolate topping/garnish, carrot cake, etc.
TASTY STRANGE THINGS man now I want to bake something. Except knowing me I'll get lazy and just make sugar cookies shaped like Mario props.
And man I hope I get the chance to make those earrings in jewelry class this semester because those are awesome.
Oh man I need to get in on some microplane grater action. I hate using classic zesters anyways because I want to hold them backwards and it all turns in to a mess. Plus I prefer lemon to be extra-fine in dishes so you taste it rather than chew it.
I saw a recipe for microwave brownie in a mug the other day. That may be worth pursuing.
The earrings are so 80's and rad. They're one of my first pairs of earrings too. Best of luck that yours turn out great when you make your own!
I have a chocolate cake in a mug recipe. I have not yet tried it, but mom says it's good.
I'm actually sitting outside jewelry waiting for the class before ours to leave. Once I obtain sawblades I'm going to cut out the shapes from the copper left over from the current enamel bowl project.
Really aside from the lemon pepper and using the mixer instead of folding she was so close to getting it right. But making those mistakes made for a far more interesting post, don't you think?

Man, making your own jewlery is the best.
Thanks for the comment, mang.

...if anything, next time we're catering a really frou-frou brunch with weird fancy foods I can suggest they be added to the menu, hehe.

But really the reason you set these babies out is to see the look on everyone's face when they discover what they are. That moment is truly priceless.

Electric mixer bros.
I got mine as a hand-me-down from my mother. It's so wonderfully squarish and retro-looking. The day it gives up the ghost will be sad indeed.
