Friending Policy and FAQ
Casey's friending policy: Effective immediately, I am becoming a recluse for the purposes of saving my sanity. From here forward all my entries on LiveJournal will be friends-locked and I will be extremely picky about who I add to my flist. In a general sense, you may be added or will remain on my flist if you fit one of the following categories:
- We're friends in real life.
- I'm friends with you online or have otherwise made a meaningful connection with you.
- I've engaged in conversations with you online on multiple occasions and have found you to be intelligent, mature, respectful and otherwise someone I would like to know.
And now, as I know there are going to be a lot of questions, here are the FAQs.
FAQ
Q: What about your fanfics?
A: My fanfiction is available to read
on ffnet and at Dreamwidth, and is now also available at
aquarium_fic. I recommend watching the comm if you want to read my fic on LJ.
Q: Is there any way I can join/get back on your flist?
A: I'm going to adopt Jer's basic policy and say, "If you don't know me, get to know me". You are going to have to develop a relationship with me. I suggest starting a conversation. If we've discussed things before on one of my posts or elsewhere that eventually petered out you might try reviving that. I can't really help you in this instance, otherwise. If all you want is to read my fic/be my groupie/be able to say that you're on my flist, don't bother making the attempt.
Q: Hey! I'm on your flist! I think I'll go tell everyone about it!
A: Don't be a tool. If I add you, and I hear about you or catch you bragging about it to the rest of the fandom, you're out. You will not be invited back. Period.
Many of the posts that are currently public on this journal will be moved to
aquarium_fic as I'm able to get to it (this includes the Boys extra and the Luma Encyclopedia). The prompt post will probably be closed and I'll make a post with all the drabbles over there.
Basically I'm trying to redirect all my fanfic and fandom-related stuff over there so that this journal can remain private. I figure it's a win-win solution. ^_^
