The only decent and sane nation in Death City. Period. Recently, Iceland had managed to rub off some of his crazy to him. He is surprisingly gullible underneath all that muscles. If Iceland was a cult leader, Germany will be the first person (country?) he converted. On the plus side, he's very helpful, reliable, trollable, and has shown Iceland genuine support and suggestions concerning the novel he's never going to write (unless he suddenly went broke in DC). On the negative side, he doesn't have a sense of humour. He wondered if Germany ever heard something called a "joke". That's why he's sort of determined to smack some sense of humour into him, even if it's terrible humour. Not that Germany would ever notice just how horrid Iceland's sense of humour is. He wouldn't see it coming, either.

China's kind of like that senile old man next door who thinks that he's better than snotty teenagers because his age supremely precedes them and often yell at said teenagers to get off his damn lawn. Someone should really tell him that age is just mere digits nowadays. Except that: a) he's not Iceland's neighbor, b) Iceland is not a snotty teenager, and c) China doesn't have a lawn in DC. One of those is total BS, though. He's kind of fun to bug, although not as fun as Germany, and is somewhat helpful regarding information and junk. But he can be cryptic at times, and it's annoying because Iceland hates it when other people out-cryptic him. It's also annoying when he acts like he knows better because he's 400000000 lightyears old. no1curr about your age.

This guy is like a walking, free entertainment. Seriously. It's like when life pissed at Iceland's face, all he wanted to do was to get hammered and then troll Prussia. "When life throws you Prussia, troll him" is one of Iceland's credo. Unfortunately, even if he is so far up the trolling target practice ladder (like the gigantic stick that's so far up his ass), Iceland still wasn't impressed with his behaviour. He's obnoxious, loud, an idiot, basically everything people like Iceland hate. And he was like, "H8RS GONNA H8, LOLOLOLOL TROLL HARDER LOLOLOL". Which only serves to piss Iceland even more. And then back to square one (read: trolling). Rinse and repeat. It's a vicious cycle. He still had a good side, though - when BREW sent Nura home, he offered him a drink. It turns out to be a full-blown drinking game. It doesn't end well. Don't try this at home.

Iceland's futuristic partner-in-crime, first friend, best friend kind-of-thingy, Weapon, and roommate. Before BREW sent her home, that is. Their relationship as partners is bumpy at best, because she thinks that there should be no secrets between them and Iceland is a big fan of keeping skeletons and dead cods in his closet and let them stay that way, but she's still dear to him, nevertheless. She has a wit that matches him (maybe even sharper than him, but there's no way he's gonna admit that), lots of fun to be around, interesting (she's from the future!), reliable, spunky, independent...not to mention had a completely fucked-up past. After she's gone, the stars are cold and bleak. Life is not worth living anymore. Sad violin music playing in the background. Or something like that.
Also, maybe he had a teeny tiny crush on her. Not that he realised it, he's too busy being a derp and getting dominated by her. But then BREW went "LOLOLOL TIME TO GO HOME, NURA" and thus, the First Girl Always Win trope was successfully averted.

Phoenix got the makings of a perfect friend according to Iceland: he's nice but not terribly so, refreshing to talk to, interesting, and more importantly, he's minding his own business. In a way, they're keeping each other at an arm's length, even if other things implies otherwise. It's a nice change from all the nosy people in DC, but at the same time, it's a bit...sad. Not that Iceland realised it. Even if he does, he wouldn't admit it, predictably. At the very least, he keeps Iceland wondering, and as of the Nation's latest post, he's been promoted to the godly status of an Icelandic citizen (alongside Alice). So now Iceland had legit rights to father him and interfere with his life because your country knows best. Get out, America.
