I knowwww. I feel the way I felt when we had Michael Owen and Danny Murphy and Didi Hamann, and then when we had Riise and Finnan and Xabi Alonso. I guess it's the same type of oh-my-god-you're-all-so-heartwarming feeling.
Ugh, so annoyed, I wrote you a comment but lj deleted it and interrupted my gushing enthusiasm. But I said something along the lines of 'this is what it felt like back when we had Owen and Murphy and Hamann, and when we had Alonso and Finnan and Riise. Heartwarming.' :)
lj is weird what even--but i did get the email with your comment! :)
BUT YES. there was this comment the liverpooltv comms made during the game (i only was able to watch the game today) about how these were the same players that had been playing the entire season, but that there was something new, a motivation the boys haven't had. it is so encouraging!!!!!
Ahh, I know. I love loving them again, properly. I never stopped loving them, but it was so hard looking at photos of them and smiling sadly. Now it's like, looking at them and exploding with pride.
Yeah, I just watched the passing that led to the third goal and was in total awe. They made 31 passes before Torres scored! That's freaking amazing. I really hope things get better and it wasn't just one good game. Stevie is coming back next game which makes me so happy. (:
Yes, I'm looking forward to watching the match again! It was 3am when I saw it live, so I didn't really notice the 31 passes, lol.
This really does feel like a turning point; I don't think we'll regress back to the kind of football we were playing under Hodgson. I think Kenny is a far more aggressive manager in terms of how he wants his team to play. And yessss, I can't wait to have Stevie back! I miss him so much.
