Reminds me of one we did 5 or 6 years back: Took the work pickup down to the slipway at Weston (or someplace close) to get some seawater for some corrosion testing we were doing.
As the pickup didn't have any company markings, we got hold of some nuclear stickers, and stuck them on the barrels we were filling (big 205L steel barrels). Then waded into the Severn, filled the barrels (dressed in bright red overalls) and got them onto the back of the truck.
Got several questions from passer-bys: what're you doing, etc. So we said there's been an incident up-river at the nuclear power station, and we were just checking there wasn't any contamination. Didn't expect there was, but couldn't be too careful!!!
Made the papers, but as we didn't have any company identifying marks, and no-one thought to take the truck plates, got away scott free! :o)
