You don't have to be dead to be in the locker. You just have to deal with gym socks. Or tentacles. Depends on if Davy Jones's locker is the one down the hall from my office or the undersea one guarded by the kraken.

Besides, you wouldn't rise as a ghost. I can get a hungan to raise you as a zombie. Then you can do the monster mash.
