you know I when i was a kid I was in a good school and I had a ton of stuff I didn't really want for anything. I had four friends who were homeless guys, probly in their 50s or so. I didn't even know their names for about a half a year but, as I always had cash and I was addicted to deli food I would always buy a shitload of stuff and sit outside the Segrams building and share with them. They told me stories and taught me how to play chess. I dont think I ever won a game against charles. He never let anyone call him Charlie because it sounded to him like a homeless guys name. None of those guys ever complained about their lot in life. Not while I was around anyway.I don't fool myself about things as we all bitch about our lot in life upon occassion. Kas hated provolone cheese he used to say that just because he was old and homeless didn't mean i had to try to poison him. I suspect that Kas was Kasper I know it was his middle name cus his first name was Christoff. He hated his name too. troy played chess with me and the other gents name was dent....he had a deformity in his head that was creepy but he talked alot and that suited me fine. Kas was my hero when I was a kid. He didn't mind that his place in the world was to be without. he tried to make sure everyone around him was comfortable as they could be. he even taught me things to do and not to do should I ever come up short in my life. He taught me how important it was to be spiritual. He taught me everything he knew about being a human in a world of shite. he used to tell me how I should have better role models, people who were successful in life. I Lay awake today thinking about him, for no real reason, and I wonder what happened to him. I am sure that he was the only person I ever met as a child that I KNEW was successful in life.

Someone asked me where I got my name from as its not my birth name. people who know me know why I changed my name. Thats the why and the who. Strangely some people know me as Cas...much as i hate it cuz I have a real name and as much as it really had nothing to with him, I can't believe I never noticed it before.
