people keep saying, if you depend on others for your happiness, you will never be happy. well, that's nice & all, but it didn't really mean anything to me... i mean isnt that the purpose of being with other people in the first place, share joy and so forth? i dunno, it all seemed like a hallmark greeting card or a proverb, not an actual guideline
