God, I haven't mentioned this in forever, but I have a flashback-y fic that was one of my final hurrahs in the world of fan fic. I haven't looked at it in forever, so I make no guarantees as to the quality, but if you're interested, it's here I'm sending the direct link because a) it's a fairly long story and b) my friend who offered to host it for me did purdy things with graphics.
