I thought you might want to know that this post got posted twice.

I'm undoubtedly more loyal to Google. I'm convinced they've got smarter people working for them and better technology, do more research, and have done more for the internet than Yahoo. For example, when I first used Google Maps, I was totally blown away. When it comes to web technologies, the two companies you always hear about are Google and Microsoft.

Out of curiosity, why are you trying to decide which you're more loyal to? Are you planning on getting rid of a few accounts?

Sort of. I wanted to see if I can get away with using only one service exclusively, for the sake of simplicity. I like Google a lot, but Yahoo is older and I have more history with it. Google Maps is cool, but if I'm in a hurry, I use Yahoo Maps because I'm more used to how it works.

This may sound random, but I ususally use google and mapquest to see which one gives me the shortest distance or time :P.. they ususally have something slightly different in their directions.. (does yahoo also give you the option of choosing a "shortest driving time" or "shortest distance" as mapquest does? :P

Nope...it doesn't have that option. I don't know what they base their directions on, probably shortest distance cuz a lot of times they'll give surface streets when I want freeway which is annoying.
