which can be moved to any of the other random abandoned buildings on elmwood?
cass. buffalo = dying economy the only two streets that have any profitable business are on elmwood and chippewa.
if a hotel is placed on elmwood, they can bring more jobs, more money, more people, more business, more hods and mondo videos and don apparels. im not saying the businesses should be shut down but moving them won't be quite as devastating as you think. that indian persian restaurant is the size of two businesses with noone occupying it.
i love elmwood and such. but i am not opposed to the idea of something to circuit more money throughout the town. or putting it somewhere else on elmwood. they wont let them tear down that house next to panos they probably wont let them tear down three houses anyways.
who is going to want to stay at some nice hotel on elmwood? buffalo does have a dieing economy, but elmwood isn't a good spot for what they want to build. a bed in breakfast would be a good idea, building something that matches the charm and culture of the area. but a nice hotel won't work. people dont even come to the hotels we already have in buffalo, and this one will create new jobs for a while, and then it will go out of business like everything else.
putting it somewhere else on elmwood, like near buff state or the art gallery would be the best idea i think. i mean, there is an abandoned mental institution that buffalo can do something with and a hotel near deleware park one would think would be more appealing than one in the middle of indie rock kid land.
