yesterday
mariquitahelena and I was at our first concert this year: Bon Jovi
traveling to Vienna and finding a parking space was really, really difficult. First we had planned to park in car park near the venue but we changed that idea when we heard about a traffic jam on the way.
Unfortunately the other car park we wanted to use was already full and the next one too. Great. Both Beatrice and I had no idea what to do.
Per coincidence we ended up on a parking lot and thanks to two helpful walkers and a nice lady at on Agip store we ended up with an parking ticket and were allowed to stay on the parking lot.
the next annoying thing was the entry. We arrived when the first support act started played and there were still most of the people outside because the scanners didnt work or something like that.
anyway, when we finally arrived at our seats the second support act was playing there last song. :( too bad, because we actually wanted to see that one.
we also thought that something happened when we bought the tickets and that we wouldnt sit together, because the rows had two different numbers and we didnt notice at first. We did sit together though. I would have been pretty mad if not.
When Bon Jovi started the rain did also. It first it wasnt really bad and it also stopped for a short time, but the last hour it rained pretty heavily.
It was really amazing though. Jon was out in the rain like the rest of us the whole show and he sang and danced like it didnt matter. I loved that. He even made fun of some reporter who where hiding under the bridge.
He said he was having a public shower with 55000 of his closest friends. lol.
my favourite quote was this: "Actually, there are about 45000 beautiful ladies here today for me, and about 10000 guys here today, trying to get lucky with one of them.”
Which might have been true for the boy in front of us, he made the impression he was here just because of his girlfriend.
I think it says a lot about how good the show was when we stayed in the rain for over two hours. I wouldnt have done that when it would have been mediocre, because even though I wore a rain jacket I was totally wet. My jeans were wet and the jacket I wore under the rain thing too. Also I had to clean my glasses a few times because I couldnt see anymore.
The stage looked awesome too by the way:
I was really impressed with this show and I'd love to see them live again.
