my sister and i are so different...we like different names, thanks goodness, i would have hated for this to happen with us.

We are different also. That's why was surprised when she said she like the name. And I had no idea that was her grandmothers name much less her husband's grandmothers name!

That's what I told my husband that if she never has a little girl she's going to end up looking like the goofball in the whole scenario. And don't think that if she does have a little girl, and doesn't name her Addison that I won'r say anything to her about all this.

When my second son was still in utero we'd picked the name Justin. Then when I was 7 months along, a baby in my son Brandon's swimming class was called Travis - which we liked better, so we 'stole' it.

My niece is Ashley Nicole - and there are so many girls her age with that same name combo it's weird.

One of my son's is named Jared - and my cousin has kids named Jared and Ashley.

And in yet another strange twist - (my son) Jared's fiancee is named Ashleigh.

You should use the name you want. *If* your sister has another baby, it might be a boy or she might even change her mind about Addison by then.

Name drama is the worst. I am so glad that we have such an outlandish taste in names, so it's unlikely we'll come across many kids with the same names.
But seriously. Your sister should grow the f*ck up. You're pregnant now, you're having a girl. You should get to call her whatever you want.

Nevertheless, Isabella Nichole is a very pretty name, too! :)
