Am I the only one who finds it interesting that the Weather Underground are being portrayed as America-hating terrorists when they never actually killed anyone and actually went to the trouble of telling people what they were going to attack in advance? The IRA often gave warnings of impending attacks, but they were still undeniably terrorists, and those attacks were still acts of terrorism.

I don't know anything about the group in question, but the argument that "they're not terrorists because they never killed anyone, plus they say they're not terrorists either" is a bit light.

Well, they also took special care to make sure that they didn't injure anyone, which is why they never injured anyone. I severely doubt the IRA took the same care, judging from how many people they injured.

Also, I understand where D is coming from, but I think mainly what I'd like is for people to stop simply using "unrepentant domestic terrorist" as a prefix for Bill Ayers. I think a hell of a lot of the rational folks who use that line would not push it so much if they learned a little bit about the Weather Underground and why they did what they did.
