Fifty-three nonviolent activists in Maryland have been classed as terrorists. For opposing things like the Iraq war and the death penalty, presumably.

The idea of a government database of citizens is very, very scary to me, and this is why.

I don't know about that Cook County thing. I live in Cook County...super corrupt in very many aspects. Sheriff might be good but I think everyone in cook county is corrupt as hell. The democrats are to cook county what republicans are to the nation :/

It's getting really fucking ridiculous. the RNC welcoming committee is still facing domestic terrorism charges and 7+ years in jail, my friends are still going to court for charges like "unlawful assembly" (being there), "obstruction of the legal process" (arguing with cops while getting arrested), "disorderly conduct" (making noise at an unpermitted protest). It really opens your eyes to what a fucking police state we live in.
