since i love to play devils advocate.
let me preface this by saying i could care less how the world was created and how life evolved. it's all interesting to me. and it's all entertainment to me as well.

BUT. scientists were doing a study not too long ago about petrified wood. they were given a part of a tree which was petrified and asked to guess it's age. so all these scientists were guessing millions of years based on the petrification. turns out there was a lightening storm and the hit of a lightening bolt can petrify wood just as quickly as the instigation of age.

pick that one apart. haha

haha devils advocate is so much fun!

however, unless you show me an article that proves what you talked about that was published in a peer reviewed scientific journal i wont take it seriously :)

but otherwise i would think that wood and rock act completely differently and pretty much all fossils are found in limestone (at least the ones concerning birds and stuff as far as i know) so i wouldn't find that to be a reasonable facsimile (is that the right word? i dunno)

hey sweetie, creation and evolution aren't mutually exclusive; religion isn't a bad thing; palentology, feathers and dinos are interesting. rant away.
