I don't like this.

Quick general update:

'bri, thank you for the generous (and undeserved) rec. *blush* I cringe when I read it (the story) now, but it's nice that you enjoyed it. I'm glad you're updating more these days. :D

780 out of 800 is excellent, actually--I think that a total of math, verbal and writing tests that scores higher than 2100 is considered very good by admissions officers at most colleges--and a lot of the people I knew in high school had SAT scores around 40 points above or below their PSAT scores, if both tests were taken in the same year and they didn't do prep courses in between.

Er, I know nothing about pharmacology, but maybe the drugs are to reduce anxiety over gaining weight, or at least to stifle compulsions about not eating, or exercising in response to eating "too much"? Except your psychiatrist does not sound trustworthy.

I liked the Princeton Review, from what I remember of it; as for practice vs. real scores, they tend to be fairly accurate (see what Katya said above).

Also, the drug thing -- while that psychiatrist does sound sketchy (any chance of finding another one? because you really should find one that's right for you), and I understand not wanting to take drugs, it's like ... if you had a broken leg or something, you wouldn't stand around saying, "I'll don't want drugs, I'll feel better when I want to", would you?
(I am also worried about this cyst thing; that's not serious, is it? :x)
