Both of them have made some pretty significant progress in the past couple of days.

Well I'm glad someone does. Because even though I'm mostly documenting it for my own reference later on, and so that I can look back and see the progress we've made over time, it's also nice to know I'm not just talking to myself. :)

So this is why people have pets. I want a bird hug! I felt so embarrassed meeting my friend's baby for the first time last week and loving when it cried just because it puts its head on my shoulder, but I suppose everyone wants hugs, no matter where they're coming from.

Oh, the hugs are just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many reasons to love having pets that I can't even begin to list them all. But yes, bird hugs are pretty awesome. I mean...it's a FREAKING BIRD giving you a FREAKING HUG. Ponder the awesomeness of that for a minute. Just ponder it.
