Nostalgia, and more bird stuff

As I mentioned in my last post, I'd been pulling a bunch of overnights at a specialty hospital recently.  The reason I was reliefing there was because everyone at the clinic kept passing around some nasty stomach flu.  Big surprise, I got the stomach flu.  Over the past couple of days, I've been puking up my guts and lying comatose in my bed,

That is awesome. Yeah I'll hear the baby cooing noises in the morning and it cracks me up...just sitting there babbling to themselves like a baby would when they are in the crib and just entertaining themselves with the sound of their own voices.

Yeah, I actually really enjoy waking up in the morning to the sound of her chatter. It's so endearing. PLUS, that's when she practices her new words. She doesn't do it during the day when I'm up and around, which makes me think that she only practices new words when she thinks I can't hear her.

Thanks, lady! I'm feeling much better. I've been able to eat something other than rice or rice crispies for the past couple of days and, more importantly, hold it down. And today is the first day that the nausea and stomach cramping is completely gone. So...I think I'm over it now. Of course, I just worked another overnight because the overnight tech is sick AGAIN. Hopefully he keeps that shit to himself this time around.
