that is really awesome of you to help with the hurricane relief. I don't have the fucking balls to help people since really I am not that nice of a person as you, but anyway. I would have loved to be there with you to help if I could have.

You don't have to be a super nice person to help out in New Orleans :) Actually, the funnest part about helping in New Orleans is that in the process of gutting houses, you get to destroy lots of stuff! I took a sledgehammer and smashed up some kitchen cabinets because we had to get them out of the house since they were water-damaged from the flooding. It is opportunity of a lifetime to do some constructive destruction :)
