Ethan had woken up that day, ecstatic to be able to go over to Cassie's house. In fact, he'd been in a fantastic mood all week. As much as he liked his cousins and family, he missed his schoolmates. Especially Pim and Cassie! Now if only Brian would have come along with them, it would have been better.

Today was also a special day because it was Ethan's first time floo'ing all on his own! So, while he was at home, he waved goodbye to his parents and walked into the fireplace. Well the first time he didn't speak clearly enough so he ended up somewhere really random. After two more tries, he finally made it hopefully to Cassie's house.

"...Hello?" His voice was soft and a little nervous. This had to be the right place. If it wasn't, then he was just going to go home and ask his mum to take him.

Cassie was looking out the window of her front door, shifting anxiously from foot to foot, when she thought she heard some noise from the living room. She turned on her heel and ran off, fully planning to tell off her brothers for being obnoxious when she had friends coming over.

"Eli, Mum said you weren't supposed to -- " she started as she rounded the corner. But then she spotted the source of the sound by the fireplace. Ethan!

"Oh my gosh!" Cassie squealed, running towards Ethan and practically knocking him over as she gave him a huge hug. "You made it! And you came Floo all by yourself, that's SO brilliant, I don't think my mum would let me. How are you?"

Oh good! Ethan had made it to the right house! He wrapped his arms around Cassie and hugged her back. It was such a relief to be here. Floo networks were hard work!

"Well, it took me about five tries," he admitted as the hug finished. At the same time, he pulled a bag from his pocket. "Mum said to give these to you as a thank you for having me over." Ethan handed her a bag of chocolate frogs. When his mother gave them to him, he thought of suggesting that giving Cassie some sweets wasn't the best of ideas, but he loved chocolate frogs and Cassie would probably share them with him.

"Five times?" Cassie cried. "Wow, I'm so glad you made it then!"

She happily took the frogs, thanking Ethan. "My mum made lemonade for us," she said. "D'you want some? We can go in the kitchen. What do you want to do today?" The excitement of having someone around who was not a sibling or a cousin had yet to die down. And probably wouldn't.
