This is so incredibly amazing, I can't even D: I love Stefan/Caroline, almost insanely much. Caroline was actually the first person to get me interested in Stefan as a character in my former The Damon-and-Elena show, and I think Daddy Issues is that one episode that just made me fall in love with him, because how can anyone not be in love with him after that?

AND THIS FIC. I think you captured their relationship so well and yet developed on it. It's not a static repeat of Lexi/Stefan or Caroline/Stefan as they used to be, but just a new dynamic so wonderfully explained by coming back doesn’t mean you never left (I'm completely fangirling lines in this fic, btw, SO MANY GOOD ONES). I like Caroline's constant 'fuck' and how ironic it is that she's actually now the teenager that she never got to be, especially now when she's trying to be 'older'. And I just love how easy their relationship is; maintaining that wonderful platonic love that they already have and adding another hot dimension to it. GUH. AND THE ENDING; HAVE ALL THE AWARDS

I'm so glad the different dynamic worked for you! Lol, I don't even know where this came from, but writing them all snarky and darker was incredibly fun, ha. And CAROLINE AND IMMORTALITY ISSUES, guhhhh, this is one of the themes that I want the show to explore so bad, like just her realizing how she's going to have to leave town eventually, or thinking about what it means that she's not getting any older, what it will be like to live forever, like, idek, I just want this to be an ISSUE, and I realize they're a little busy with all the crazy shit going down in Mystic Falls, but... still!

I think you captured a developing relationship REALLY WELL. I think this is how Caroline would grow or try to adjust to the fact that she'll never be older (which I don't think she's realized till now) and dye her hair black. Awww. And they need to go roadtripping, ngl. I would watch an entire season of just that.

THEY ARE. And like, I remember during the 2x02 scene in the bathroom, just watching it like scarcely believing this scene was actually happening because they were so precious and painful and I'd never even really thought about their relationship before and it just, like, was such a wonderful scene it felt surreal, rofl. And then the next episode we got bunny hunting and the serious Stefan with the hey it's Tuesday face and yeah, HOW DO THEY EVEN EXIST. And yes, oh gosh, Stefan amused with snarky!Caroline is the most adorable. I think their friendship is what I miss most this season D:

Aw yay, I'm really glad it came across realistically, future fic is sometimes my favourite thing to write, hee. SEASON OF ROADTRIPPING, YES PLEASE. This show has such a love affair with roadtrips, omfg. EVERYONE GOES ON THEM. ALL THE TIME. IT'S WONDERFUL.
