Thanks! Nah, I think Jim's gunna try to have a relationship with his mum has best he can. I'm sure it'll be hard for the both of them. Poor Jim *snuggles him*

LJ was being so mean to me :(

Lovely chapter!

Also, LJ was under attack from either hackers or governmental hackers this morning and it took all day for lj to get off their duffs and fix it...

I totally replied to this yesterday and apparently... the post went POOF. I'm sure I had something completely amazing and profound to say but I can't remember what :(

Thanks for letting me know about LJ and also for enjoying the chapter ^_^

Gotta say, Bones's analysis of the crewmembers is my favorite part.

:) I had a lot of fun writing it (even though his "I've spent too much time jotting medical notes to use complete sentences" writing style made me go @_@ in a long missive), so I'm glad you liked Bones's observations. 0_~

First, it's not just you. As you probably know by now, LJ was under a severe Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack again this morning. It came back, briefly, and I thought it was safe to attempt replying to my flist. Then everything went kablooie again and I thought I'd broken the internets. Watch it blow up again when I try to post this ( ... )

1) I'm glad it wasn't just me. I really thought it was as our internet at work is less than ideal. I keep calling AT&T but they keep saying I'm up to speed... I'm not sure I believe them.

2) EEK! Don't do that! Heehee. Actually I thought I'd missed posting chapter 11 *HEH* Then realized I didn't. I think I snuck it in late in the week.

3) I love when people say that! I've been a victim of the, "Usually I don't like this but you rock so I do" Thanks so much and I'm glad you decided to keep reading! We were worried about loosing readers, but honestly, the whole point of Communique is the soon to be born Mini-Crew so... we had to.

4 & 5) Yeaaaah! I figured some chapters will be serious and angsty but we'll try to keep most light and fluffy. We decided to take creative license with Winona and "Frank" who was actually an uncle (that we turned into step father). If you read through the Timeline that shows their life, you can kindda see both Jim and Winona's POV's. Winona had her kids with her up til Tarsus then understandably didn't take ( ... )

1. AT&T says all sorts of things. Usually, it's telling you that it's all your fault. It's never their fault. Riiight. I deal with them all the time. They lie. :)

2. I vow to catch up on 10 and 11 shortly! :)

3. Nope, y'all aren't going to lose me. You'll have to spray me with bug spray to get rid of me. *waggles antennae in an innocent and attractive manner* >;)

4. & 5. Yep, I've seen Frank used in other fics as a step-father so I don't think you'll get any complaints about that. Artistic License, and all that. Besides, it works. Agreed about Winona. She did the best she could under bad circumstances and we know Jim was a handful. Hey, raising two boys would be a task for anyone, much less what this family has gone through.

No disappointment anticipated, hon. Y'all keep up the good work!

I continue to love this series. It's full of verisimilitude and liveliness.

I hope Winona comes around. I can see why she thinks as she does, though.

I'm sure once the baby is born she'll be a little better, but she was tramatized, *heh* somewhat anyway, what with her husband dying while she was giving birth then her family being on Tarsus IV.

I'm glad you're enjoying; thanks for letting us know ^_^
