It is sad, isn't it? Like, we should have done so much more, discovered so much more... something.
I remember where I was during the Challenger disaster. I was in 4th grade, and I wasn't even supposed to be walking through the library where the 6th graders were watching it on TV; I was running an errand for a teacher.
It was just such an integral part of growing up, the thrill of discovery and watching the launches on TV and being into astronomy when I was younger, it's sad to see it end.
