Well, the value of the LD player just went way down for me. Glad I never bought one of those gold japanese LD players. Let's just hope the new DVDs are of decent quality.

Now the big wait is Star Wars in HD on Blu-Ray.

The article doesn't mention anamorphic video but does mention a Dolby 2.0 soundtrack. It could just be the same transfers I already have on LD.
