Yeah, I wrote Sparrington. It's true. And I'm writing more.

Don't follow the cut unless you enjoy piratical gayness )

*squeak* u captured beautifully the desperation and unrelenting determination of norrington. *dies* and jack... hee-hee. i could so see this scene playing out in the movie, except we didn't get the privilege to see that ;)

Hello, I'm about a year late. I must admit, I had doubts. When Norrington uttered his "have you ever wanted something so badly" line, I raised my eyebrows. But then he reached for those letters and it all came together. :) Brilliant. I liked how you picked up on the confused desire theme from the movie itself - that ambiguity about whether Norrington's "compass" was pointing at Jack or at the papers in his coat. This story is frighteningly plausible. Flippant but cagey Jack, desperate and ruthless Norrington. Excellent work.

I sort of wanted to play with all those cliched come-ons, so even your moment of eyebrow raising is gratifying as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for your kind (and thoughtful) feedback!

I even thought that at the time. I looked back at my objections and realized, "hey, she *meant* to do that!" Sneaky. :)

I told you I'd be reading these. <3

I still remember getting into PoTC fandom when it first surfaced, and quickly found that I just loved Jack/anyone. Will was a favourite, due to his dashing facial hair, but Norrington was a very close match.

I love both your Norrie voice and Jack voice--and as a Jack impersonator myself, I could hear each word in vivid tone. Booyeah. 8D

Heheh, it was kind of fun to have occasion to reread this, myself. Like I said, I haven't thought about them in a long time . . . (Six years, that's terrifying.) And I'm so glad their voices come across, as trying to capture that delightful pirate diction was one of the real pleasures of this fandom.
