I think mine should be Saint Rita, patron saint of lost causes...

epileptics??
pray for my son (Nat) and sister (Heather).

though not Roman Catholic (or anywhere near), I do understand the driving force and commitment behind this.
Since hearing the roll of thunder this afternoon, I'm reminded that my yearly walk up October Mountain is about due (Wakinyan is back!)...and that's a story for another time :)

Absolutely! Nat was on my list, and Heather will be too. And you count as a caregiver, so you're one more!

Yeah, Dymphna has been the reigning patron saint of all females on my paternal side for quite a long time it seems. Time to do my part to keep the flame lit. Where's October mountain? You could walk and I could pray and then we could get to the top and sit in awe...

Any chance you're planning on coming to Sci-Fri this week? Like NObody else is, so we (Patrick, Bob, Martin and Me) may ditch and go see Hitchhiker's instead.

no sci-fri....worked on my art class final project tonight...not my best piece (hyper-critical-ness), but I have a feeling the next one will be better anyways.

October Mountain is part of the Appalachian Trail, and the part I go up starts in Becket on Route 20. Small mount, really...takes about 1 1/2 hours to go up...but the sky is SOOOO blue at the top it's incredible...and it's not even really that tall. And I pray (loudly) and sing while going up the mountain anyhow, so....

May 15th is the Feast of Dymphna, eh? And when do you wanna trek up said mount? I am very willing to have company for my journey this year (yet another story to be saved for later...) ;)

Patron saint of lost & stolen articles, the poor, & travelers?
Don't get it. Who did you ask?

Well, yeah, to find things or people that are lost. You're a little lost, and so's your money! I asked a guy who's name I forgot. He runs a veritable encylopedia of info on saints, though. And responded to my random-ass email within 8 hours. And he suggested someone else first but said "He's more for winning the lottery. For finding one's financial way in life, use St. Anthony."

If you could pray for my grandmother that would be great because she recently has been diagnosed mentally ill.

Consider it done. What's her name? (So's I don't have to say "And Nat and Heather and... Laura's grandmother?)
