Jour 213 : Mon premier couvre-feu

Oct 17, 2020 22:16

In my last mail to starwatcher307 I mentioned what a quiet and chill weekend I had ahead of me and how I would finally be able to rest and have more energy and, with some luck, write some more of my fic.

Fast-forward to this morning when both Cookie and I were up before 8.00 AM and decided it was the perfect time - that is, after we had our breakfast - to paint ( Read more... )

Oh blimey. Curfew! It's like being a teenager all over again. But whatever it takes to get us through this madness.

Happy weekend to you both. ♥

Oh, that was before lol Now we're back to Lockdown. Just like the UK, if I'm not mistaken?

Numbers are going up again in NY, too. We don't have a curfew where I am, but we're in the boonies, so that might be why.

Quiet and chill can be for next weekend? *g*

Hail to the boonies, really. If you can be spared either the curfew or a new lockdown, I'm glad :)

Little did I know that "quiet and chill" would be the only way to do things for the whole month of November lol

It sounds strange but I envy you the curfew our government is too worried about their political base to do what needs to be done to stop this second wave and things are escalating. I'm being very careful and sticking to my once a week errands and trying to get a flu shot but they are in short supply.

The fact that you're enjoying yourself despite all the lovely things 2020 has to offer is a testament to you and your fortitude. I applaud you.

I hadn't heard that about Prodigal Son and sadly I can't muster enthusiasm for any of my returning shows. I'm sure that will change once they actual appear on my tv though.

Then you're going to be even more envious as we're under a new lockdown now (til December, 1st, to begin with). But I get your meaning, I think many of us are sort of relieved. Obviously, a lockdown is not ideal but at least the Gvt is (finally) trying to act to prevent the situation from getting even worse.

Aww, thank you. I do try to stay positive :) I think I have a positive disposition, to begin with, so I guess it's easier for me than for some people who already struggle on a good day, but I do try not to let things get me down too much. Let's hope we all succeed in keeping our smiles for the months to come!

Prodigal Son should be back on our tv in January! They've released photos of the shoot so that has helped keeping up my enthusiasm :) Plus, it's so lovely having something good to look up to, know what I mean? Even if it's "just" a show.

Take care, mate *hugs*
