music discovery

It got to 100 degrees Fahrenheit in my apartment today. I hate summer.
But on to a nicer subject--I'm curious what streaming music/music discovery sites, if any, everyone uses. I've dabbled with a bunch, but haven't found one I'm completely happy with.

Hi Castallia,

Wow, that's way too hot. Stuff will start melting at that temperature! I'd like to respond to your question, but in fact I don't use any of those music services myself -- I tend to listen to samples of stuff at the iTunes store before purchasing, though. This fall Apple will make "iTunes Radio" available, so that might be something worth giving a try, though, unfortunately, it's only going to be available in the U.S., at least in the beginning...

Thanks, I will definitely check out iTunes radio when it comes out, if it works with older iPads and doesn't require iOS 6 or 7.

Yeah, actually, I'm not sure. I think it is part of the OS7 upgrade, which won't be available for iPad 1 (though it will be available for iPad 2 and up). You may be able to find out more about it online, since it's official Apple news now (it was announced at the WWDC conference earlier in June). If you have an Apple computer and upgrade to OSX Mavericks (the new/upcoming OS), it may also be available that way. As I said, though, it definitely won't be available here. I'm a little bit bummed about that, since I am at least somewhat curious about it.
