the Secret Language

Apr 07, 2006 12:12

After nearly 9 years together in madness, naturally Thomas and I have developed our own language. I often forget these are not real words and slip into Thom-dialect in the company of confused bystanders.

"upinhyah": i totally say that to nat too. mostly cos it's part of the refrain in one of the songs he likes but also cos i sound about as white as anyone can so it's hilarious when i'm all "up'n'hyah!" cos it sounds so wrong.

another thing i do is add b's after all m's, like "pajambas".

I love when words get all mixed up! Pijambas! When my cousin Kelly was little she couldn't say snowman so she called them "nosehair", I don't know HOW she came up with that, but I still hold her to it!

I speak in a lot of ebonics, because I'm so white I'm translucent!

nosehair?! now that's creative!

to be truthful, "pajambas" has since evolved to "jambas".

but yeah i throw in the ebonics too but only when it's just me and nat, i don't wanna get beat down upnhyah!

Once during an intense debate with our former first floor cop asshole neighbor who thinks he's dough, he said "jammies". Had we any respect for him, we would have lost it right then and there!

It's funny that I posted this before seeing your post on the Arizona board, and somebody getting all up in your grill about "brakes did".
