For theinsaneeraser

I love you, Karissa

Sam woke up to a warm pressure against his side, and rolled over, trying to get away from the heat. His hand fell against the alarm clock, desperate to shut it up before he was completely up and running. He groaned into his pillow, brown hair flopped wildly around his head. “Move over, Gigantor.” Someone muttered, using their feet to push him further away and yank the blankets toward them.

“Give ‘em back,” he mumbled tiredly, trying to pull the comforter back. He glared at Gabriel when he refused, and snuggled deeply into the warmth they provided. He reluctantly stood up and ambled to the bathroom, ignoring the excited chatter just outside his door.

When he deemed the noise attention worthy, he opened the hotel door, cautious. He peeked out to find a blonde teen attached to Dean, laughing. Lucifer watched them, smiling and murmuring to the small ravenette snuggled into his side. “Gabriel, wake up.” Sam nudged the ginger, until he rolled off the bed.

“What’s so important, you woke me up at eight for.” It wasn’t a question, that much was clear and the redhead looked close to  murderous.

“Lucifer’s hitting on your sister.”

“He better not be,” he muttered, struggling to sit up. Sam smirked, watching the burrito-esque prison keeping his potential boyfriend on the ground. “What’s so funny?”

“You,” Sam snickered. “Look like a burrito. But seriously, Samiel’s falling prey to Satan,” he watched as Gabriel finally escaped from the blankets.  The ginger struggled to stand up, running towards the open door  to find Samiel tucked against Lucifer’s side on the floor, smiling.

“Who’s that?” the blonde teen asked, letting go of Dean.

“He’s a friend of mine,” Sam leaned against the door, watching. Adam looked up at him, grey blue eyes excited.

“Sam!”

“Hey, Adam.” Sam smiled; their half brother had only been included in their lives since after their father had died. He was young, and had accepted the news easily once he heard the names Sam and Dean Winchester.  “How’s school going?” He had then introduced them to Michael and Lucifer.

“Great.”

“Any girlfriend’s we should know about?”

“Well, I..” The teen rubbed the back of his neck, blushing.  Lucifer had convinced Michael to come travel with them, and Adam had been forced to stay by his mother. “Yes and no.”

“How can it be yes and no?” Dean raised an eyebrow, leaning against a wall. His hazel eyes looked disbelieving

“Well, I sorta met a girl but I didn’t want to be more then friends because I… had a request, from you.”

“What.” Castiel asked, crouching next to Adam.

“I agreed to wait until I was seventeen, well, I’m seventeen now. And I want to come with you guys.”

“Why? There isn’t much to do out on the road for someone like you. You have everything ahead of you,”

“Not much, though. I mean, All my family’s on the road and I have nothing else to really do.”

“Alright, well…”

“There’s something else too, Dean.” Adam rubbed the back of his neck, looking anywhere but his brothers. Sam frowned, crossing his arms. “I… I want to bring somene with.”

“Who?” Dean asks, crossing his arms, his interst clearly piqued.

“Her name’s Ruby, and she’s only a year older than me. She's really sweet once you get to know her, and I like her."

"More people?"

"Unless Sam decided to stay here with my family," Samiel began carefully. "Adam and Ruby couldn't both come. I'm not trying to push you into making a decision, Sam, but it's true."

"Alright, Sammy, here's the real question." Dean pushed off from the wall, setting a hand on Sam's shoulder. "Do you want to settle down with someone who cares about you? Or come around the world crammed into a car?"

"When you say it like that, it's like you're trying to convince me to go," Sam replied sarcastically, though he smiled at his older brother.

"Maybe I am, Sammy." this surprised to law student, whjo blinked in confusion. "You deserve to be happy, and this midget might be the one to do so. He seems to want you."

"I do," Gabriel said shamelessly, pulling a bag of Skittles from his back pocket. He tore it open, popping a cherry one into his mouth.

"We wouldn't mind someone to occupy him, on multiple occasions he has pulled pranks on us that are just annoying." Karissa added, plucking at a loose string on her tank top. She smiled sweetly when Gabriel glared, and plopped down into Anna's lap.

"Someday love will find you, break those chains that bind you," Samiel murmured, grinning. "A white knight will remind you-"

"How we touched and went our seperate ways." Lucifer finished, cutting the girl off. Sam shook his head.

"Interjecting Journey into a serious conversation is imbecillic." Castiel ground out, leaning his head on his hand, leaning against the desk just inside his and Dean's room.

"...So is interjecting your opinions." Lucifer shot back, glaring at the ravenette, who flipped him off with his free hand.

"That's an opinion."

"Anna," Samiel whined, trying to end the arguement Sam could clearly see brewing. It wasn't unusual for fights to break out the mornings of departure, and if he stayed with Gabriel, he doubted he'd miss it much.

"Back to the point," Dean finally growled, making the others stop. Gabriel raised an eyebrow; obviously noone had ever ceased his sister's talking. "Sammy, are you staying or going?"

"I don't... I..." Samiel tilted her head, staring up at the brunette giant.

"My brother would make you happy. He's loyal, but a blanket hog. He's caring, but eats all the sweet stuff in the house. He cuddles, though he'll deny it to his dying breath."

Sam raised an eyebrow, tilting his head. Gabriel was glaring at his sister, though Anna herself had begun to grin. "He hates country music, loves pulling pranks and short sheets our beds."

"You're trying to convince him to leave." The ginger haired man responded testily.

"I thought about it, last night." Sam began slowly, gauging his words carefully. "Alot. And I think I'd like to settle down. Maybe go back to college."

"If that's what you want," Dean's words were an obvious question.

"I do." Castiel pushed away from the wall, wrapping his arms around the taller man as best he could. He squeezed tightly.

"Call us when you can," he grumbled into his ear. Sam smiled, hugging back.

"You'll take care of Dean?"

"That's impossible," Cas tilted his head, blue eyes amuased. "But I'll try."

"Okay."

After a long breakfast, the group assembled outside the hotel. Samiel was clinging tightly to Gabriel, murmuring in quiet voices. Dean was trying to get all of Sam's bags from the trunk of the Impala; finally setting the brown laptop bag down on the ground gently.

"Well, Sammy... This is it."

"Yeah... I'll miss you."

"Dude, no chick flick moments." Dean hugged his brother tightly, and long. The two stood like that for a few moments, before Dean regained his 'manliness' and pushed Sam away. He clapped his younger brother's shoulder, hazel eyes searching his. "Be good, Sammy."

"Yeah, you too."

"Impossible," Cas sing-songed from somewhere inside the Impala. "Bye Sam."

"Be good to him, Dean. Don't scare him off, I actually like him. Lisa was..."

Dean shivered in agreement, before pulling the keys from the trunk and slamming it. "Well... See you 'round, kiddo. Say hi to Bobby for me."

"Deal, later." Sam watched the two cars speed off, both blaring what sounded like Def Leppard. He felt Gabriel's arm around his waist, and looked down. The ginger was staring up at him intently. "What?"

"Does this mean we can try out the licorice?" Sam laughed, kissing the man's head.

"You bet."
