People on Tumblr are being all complainy because they don't think they saw enough emotion and love from Beckett. I don't agree, though. She worked hard to keep her worry under control, but I saw the mask slip several times. What do people expect -- they had 24 hours to save Castle's life, and she needed to keep it together so she could solve the case! I would be really interested in seeing how she'd react when Castle was in danger in some situation where she's not investigating, and can't do anything but provide personal support. But given that she's a cop in a procedural, that's not likely to ever get written.
I'm still loving McCord and the D.C. team. I actually kind of regret that Beckett won't stay there a bit longer; it's a nice change of pace. Nothing against Ryan, Esposito, etc., but they haven't done much new with the New York team in a while. I'm hoping that Ryan's family situation provides some new stories, and that Esposito gets something to do, and Lanie and Gates get some more development.
