This is the first ficlet in a series that I'm toying with - snapshots of the Marauders' lives. I actually wrote it a while back, but it's been refined slightly. Just a short piece to get me back into the habit of writing, hope you enjoy!

Read this last night but I didn't have a time to comment. I really enjoyed reading this, the mood and how you've created James' character. I was hoping to read some Marauder era stuff from you after I read what I remember was a H/Hr from you(?) and really liking your writing style, so seeing this post on my friends page makes me happy :D

Really loved this bit, naturally:
Not after he'd had to spend all evening having his hair regrown after Sirius had...accidentally...hexed it off, instead of turning it green.
*shakes head* Oh you boys...

Thanks for the comments Cath :) Yeah, H/Hr is (was?) my OTP and I wrote a fair amount of fic for it, but it's been rapidly superceded by L/J for a good few months now. Due in no small part to your fics, actually ;P
