My theory is that she gets a job offer that takes her away from the 12th and prevents Castle from working with her. I think the cliffhanger would be Castle and Beckett having a fight about it (Beckett wants the job maybe) and we probably see Beckett accepting the job at the end of the episode.

I think it would be an interesting 6th season if she does start a new job in the beginning. I see it being like Grey's where Cristina is in another hospital for a while at the start of the season before something happens and she returns. It would be really good story to tell if it happens the same way for Castle.

I can see that happening, but right now, all I can friggin' think about is what happens in the bloody promo for tomorrow's episode. Damn ABC editors!

Haha. I'm just worried about how they would handle the story line for tomorrow's ep. I really hope they don't screw it up because it can go many ways.

Not at all worried about the kiss. Part of me, hope the kiss happens. Caskett needs a shake up. ;)

I definitely think it'll be to do with a job offer for Beckett... but I don't think she'll accept. Or if she does, it won't be for long and we won't see her actually working elsewhere. This show is a bit too settled in its groove now and I can't see it shaking things up that much. As much as I'd like to see that!

Hmm. I wonder if (in reference to another spoiler) Beckett gets an offer to be a federal agent of some kind. Based on what happened with Will, I don't know that she wants that line of work but...? It would mean leaving/traveling a lot like Jordan Shaw, and make them decide if they are strong enough to handle that, do they want a family and how would that work, etc., all of which are big questions. Leaving would also have a huge impact on the precinct. I don't think they would remove the element of the 12th permanently, perhaps just give Beckett a special assignment that spans a short episode arc, but it would shake things up for a bit. I trust the writers with whatever they're planning, it will all lead to great things I'm sure.

I'm definitely thinking job-related issue, too. Maybe even a promotion that puts her ahead of Gates? Is that even possible? Probably not....

By the way, I'm not concerned about the kiss. Poor Beckett deserves some attention. Ever since they got together, it feels to me as if every single little or bigger display of affection was initiated by her. When have we ever seen Castle take the initiative? Weirdly, he's been written as if he's taking her vey much for granted now that she dived in. Maybe he needs to be reminded that there might still be that foot wedged in the door....

I highly disagree. I think it's the other way around. Beckett's been irritating me all season.

I think that if Beckett does kiss the guy, etc, it's an insult to Castle. Every time that Castle tries to kiss her at times, she's quickly rejected it.

Really? Interesting that you say that because I've heard a lot of fans complaining about Castle not being interested in the relationship but nothing about Beckett.

I kinda agree that he seems less invested but I think it's all due to the fact that he still has doubts. He has two failed marriages under his belt and I don't think he's all that sure that Beckett is all in - he probably thinks she might bolt when things get rough.

But one thing that annoyed me this season is how Castle seem to do everything wrong in the relationship - the reporter thing in ep 2, Meredith staying, Valentine's Day - so it's about time Kate does something wrong. So I really hope the kiss happens so we can see Kate apologising for once instead of Castle.

Am I the only one who's generally happy with the relationship and not annoyed by anyone or feeling like it's in any need of fake "shaking up" like having Beckett kiss some random dude? I mean, why would she do that? She's not shallow or fickle. I assume she's not going to, and it's just the PR people trying to stir up buzz in the usual idiotic ways. I'll be really disappointed if the show goes there.
