Inception Gender re-cast
To add off my House recast I also did a gender recast for Inception a while ago. So! I thought I would share. At the time I posted it on my own journal some people had some other ideas, suggestions which were really good. However, i'll just post my original here for now!
Dominic Cobb - Toni Collette: She's the right age if you believe it, a very versatile actor, and from the way she acts in Sixth Sense as well as United States of Tara she would rock.
Mal - Mathieu Kassovitz: He is French and quite adorable. I feel like what I've seen him in would be Mal before she fell in limbo. I just like him.
Saito - Michelle Yeoh: She's not Japanese but ah well, she is however very regal and just eminates a powerful feeling, could totally be the boss with the money and survive limbo.
Arthur - Hannah Spearritt: In real life she seems pretty fun loving but she can play badass really well, just see her in Primeval and serious is no problem. I think she would be amazing in the spinning hall scene.
Ariadne - Andrew Garfield: First person I thought of, young, up and coming, and would be a great audience connection. Plus, look at that hair.
Eames -Christina Hendricks: I really don't think I need to explain this one at all, she is absolutely perfect for this as she's shown in various roles; attractive, smart, and flirty and clearly she can turn into anyone she wants as Firefly proves.
Yusuf - Archie Panjabi: I only know her from Bend it Like Beckham but I'd love to give her a go for it. She's got a good look for secret chemist.
Robert Fischer - Anna Tov: She's really good at the 'heavy responisblity shouldered' thing and is quite classy, perfect fit.
Peter Browning - Miranda Richardson: If you've seen Young Victoria you'll know why I picked her. She's a bit young compared to Tom Berenger but I decided I didn't care!
Maurice Fisher - Christine Baranski: This is almost a no brainer. I was having trouble with this one then somehow I got her page on IMDB and it just clicked. She would so be a high flung executive with harsh treatment of her daughter, Cruel Intentions anyone?
SO! What do you think? Major yes to anyone? Major no to anyone? Any better ideas? Would you like to see this movie more than boy dominated Inception?
