Our kettle has been on the fritz for about a week. We've had it for about 2 and a half years, so today I was going to throw it away and buy a new one. On a hunch, though, I poked around the contacts on the bottom with a toothpick, and some dampened paper towel. Now, it works again! I am the win ( Read more... )

It adds new meaning to every post and comment I write - the cat is always surprised or shocked about something.

OK, now that you say that, it does look like a surprised face. Before, I was imagining the cat with a banshee-like wail, and that was scary. I'm not very good at reading cats so pay me no mind.
