This morning, I wandered into Borders, and saw a new book by one of my favourite authors, Colleen McCullough*. Oh goody, I thought. I snickered a bit when I saw the title: The Independence of Miss Mary Bennet**. Hahaha, surely it was a bad choice to name your main character after an unlikeable Jane Austen character

There was a thing about this in the Borders e-mail I got this morning, and I was just planning to send you a thing about it! I'll be interested to see what it's like. Also, I don't think I've read any Colleen McCullough at all, so this might be my easy in.

I reckon the "easy in" would be Tim, which is an "unconventional love story" - maybe I'm a bit of a mushmeister but I liked it a lot. If I do get the new book, I'll let you know.
