Tammi's been in town for a few days, so we've been making the usual rounds: Brite Spot, beach, Bang! Also included was chicken pho at Gingergrass with free shrimp chips and basil raspberry-swirled ice cream.

Spent today at the flea market, unable to resist cheap used book sales: Love in the Time of Cholera and A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering

I'm currently reading Love in the Time of Cholera and it's absolutely wonderful. I love Gabriel Garcia Marquez's writing.

i love buying cheap used books. did you know that the biggest used bookstore in california is located in long beach? it's only a ride on the blue line from downtown l.a., but you have a car. it's called acres of books (http://www.acresofbooks.com/).

I just added A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius to my "to read" list a few days ago. What else are you up to these days? My classes are done and I'm free pretty much all week then going back to Ohio. : (
