Teen's one-day sentence OK

OTTAWA -- A 15-year-old Winnipeg boy who killed a young refugee by beating him with an eight-ball wrapped in a sock was rightfully sentenced to one day in jail and 15 months probation, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled Thursday in an important test of new young offender laws.
