My life is far from normal.

This is a bit of a random post, but life's been pretty random lately. Let's start with Thanksgiving, shall we?

First off, 6:30 AM is slightly crazy for going to church on a Thursday. So, yeah, it was strange. On the way there, my cousin decided to get Starbucks. Coffee(well, technically, it was a mocha, but still. It had coffee in it!) and I don't exactly mix. Unless, of course, you want to see me bouncing off the walls for hours on end. I never did manage to finish it, though, we got straight to cooking when we got to church. They put me in charge of making biscuits; which means they trusted me to control an oven. And whether the biscuits got burned or not. :) Shocking, I know. Surprisingly, my uncle burned himself before me. I was laughing at that(not that he got burned, but that I didn't). Either way, the breakfast went well, and what do I get to do after that? Go home and cook some more. Except, me being the intelligent human being I am, I forgot my bag in my uncle's car. The one with my notebook and camera in it. I wasn't too thrilled about that. But, I managed, and went home to cook corn pudding for Tabby. Which, by the way, turned out pretty well. I think I ate over my body weight that day(my dinner consisted of some of everything being served, plus a piece of all three pies smothered in whipped cream). It was amazing.

But moving on. Friday morning, I wake up at 6, to Tabby trying to sneak in my room and hide presents. Very stealthy. Except that it wasn't. Basically, I sat around all day on Friday. Talk about a lazy day afternoon.

Saturday? We went to the Verizon Wireless store. But, sadly, we can't get me a new phone yet. Stupid policies. Grr. But, hey, I can do without, I've still got one. It just doesn't have a camera and hardly holds any txts at all. And, by some miracle, I remembered to call for my bag. And my cousin laughed at me. But, what better way to end a day than try to get Tabby's kids to go to bed? It was not the most fun experience ever.

And that brings us to today. Strangely, I woke up at 7:30 this morning. Now, that's a shocker. On our way to church, I heard a song that apparently came out when I was two. It's called Christmas Carol by Skip Ewing, and I simply fell in love with it. Then, church, which was extremely fun. I got to hold up a tent and eat and sing with little kids. It was fun. We're having a Baby Shower for Baby Jesus in a few weeks, in celebration of Christmas. The same day, we get to sing with the choir. Entertainment, certainly. Then we went to the mall, which was awesome. So many awesome clothes, most of which in Wet Seal and Buckle. Hallie was freaking out because she thought she saw some dude that gave her his number, which I thought was highly amusing. But, word from the wise, don't go to the mall in heels. That's a lot of walking. And standing. Also, if you're planning on going to New York in the winter, make sure you have winter clothes. Or something other than tank tops.

And the music recommendation: My Last Goodbye. I personally love the song "Lullaby". He's up-and-coming and trying to break into the music business, so if you like the music, spread the word.

See? I told you the weekend has been random.

random, weekend
